Renew Mobile Unit

Bringing support directly to the community.

The NBCC-Renew Mobile Unit is a fully equipped mobile treatment center that delivers hope and healing directly to the community. We understand that not everyone can easily access a clinic, so we bring the care to you. Our mobile approach helps remove common barriers to treatment – such as transportation challenges and the stigma of seeking care – by meeting people where they are.

Services Provided

Our mobile unit offers a wide range of services to support individuals on their recovery journey, including:

Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)

We provide medications like methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone) as part of evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder. These FDA-approved medications help manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings, supporting a safer, medication-assisted recovery.

Counseling (Individual & Group)

Compassionate one-on-one counseling and group therapy sessions are available right on the unit. These sessions help clients build coping skills, process their experiences, and support one another in recovery.

Wound Care & Harm Reduction

Our team offers basic medical care and wound care for injection-related or other minor injuries. We also distribute harm reduction supplies such as naloxone (Narcan) for overdose reversal and safer use materials to reduce the risk of infections and injuries.

Peer Support & Care Navigation

The mobile unit is staffed with peer recovery specialists who understand what you're going through, offering non-judgmental support and hope. We also provide care navigation (case management) services, helping you connect with ongoing care, social services, housing resources, and other community supports.

Who We Serve

Our Renew Mobile Unit welcomes any individual who may benefit from opioid treatment or medication-assisted treatment services. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • People experiencing homelessness
  • Individuals recently released from incarceration
  • People who inject drugs
  • Other underserved community members who might struggle to access traditional treatment services

No matter your circumstances, you will be met with compassion, respect, and confidentiality. You are not alone – we’re here to help you find hope and start healing.

We proudly serve communities across Middlesex County and Burlington County, NJ, bringing our services to neighborhoods in both regions. The mobile unit operates on a rotating community schedule – please call us at 732-246-4025 for up-to-date locations and times. We travel to various towns and outreach sites throughout the week to make it as convenient as possible for you to receive care.
