Our trained collectors use standardized procedures so testing is private, professional, and reliable.

- Referrals from agencies (e.g., NJ Department of Children and Families (DCF), WorkFirst NJ / Substance Abuse Initiative (WF/SAI)), courts, probation, employers, or schools
- Clients receiving services at NBCC/BCC who require monitoring to support their care plan
Your choice and privacy matter. We explain each step, obtain informed consent, and share results only with you and parties you authorize—except where law requires otherwise.
What to Expect at Your Visit
1. Check‑In & Consent
Bring a photo ID. We review consent forms and any referral paperwork (see below). Tell us about any accessibility needs; we’ll accommodate whenever possible.
2. Clear Instructions
A trained collector explains the process and answers questions before collection begins.
3. Specimen Collection
Collections occur in a private restroom/space. We follow standardized protocols to protect your dignity and the integrity of the test.
4. Chain of Custody
Your specimen is sealed, labeled, and documented from collection through disposal to ensure accuracy and security
5. Laboratory Testing
We partner with a certified laboratory, Atlantic Diagnostic Laboratories, for screening and necessary confirmations.
6. Results & Follow‑Up
Results are released to you and any authorized referral source. If confirmation testing is needed, we’ll explain what that means and how it affects timing.
Have questions about medications or supplements? You can let us know at check‑in so the lab can interpret results appropriately. We only share information consistent with your consent and applicable privacy laws (HIPAA & 42 CFR Part 2).

Specimens: Urine and oral fluid (saliva).
Panels: Standard and customizable panels are available.
